New Orleans native Kent Hardouin
has developed a substantial career as a commercial photographer.
A self-taught artist, his work has graced the pages of regional,
national, and international publications such as Maxim, Tribe, New
Orleans Magazine, and Advertising Ages Creativity Magazine.
He has won various awards in juried shows, including Best in Show
from the Art Directors and Designers Association.
The works exhibited are from a recent series of floral images chosen
for their graphic nature. The images are shot full-frame with great
attention to negative space. The series was shot using Polaroid
Type 55 positive/negative film; the film edge is retained for artistic
effect. Each limited edition photograph is printed on Ilford Multigrade
IV fiberbase glossy paper by the artist in his studio/darkroom located
in New Orleans. All materials are archival and museum quality. Each
photograph is signed and numbered by the artist.
